To understand what is a real worship and how to live it, it's necessary to understand who God is and why we adore Him, through His son, Jesus.
God is every basis of your life. It's your friend, protector, counselor, prince of peace, faithful, Father, our salvation, our strength... and to be present with us, He sent us His son Jesus. Ok. Easy.
Ap 1:5 "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood..."
Ap 1:7 "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last."
And, you know, this love has a complexity valuable. Besides all this, Jesus offers us something very important: WISDOM, for even to exalt Him, we'll need it.
Mt 11:19 "The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children."
We know we can please God at any time of our day, in everything we do... from a job, some household chores... and in our ministry as well.
But we should understand what's this ministry (not gifts).
The true and unique ministry that God has entrusted to us was:
Mc 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover;"
After that, we can vary our ways of bringing the Word of God to people, but NONE MUST OVERCOME THE REAL PURPOSE OF EXPANDING THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
Is extremely important, as already stated, that we must apply it in everyday of our life... but we'll see how that's possible when working in groups.
When we're focusing on one goal, and we'll do it together, we must follow some principles:
1º God call us to the same goal:
Mt 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
2º God give us direction:
Lk 6:35 "But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil."
Lk 9:25 "For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?"
Lk 9:50 "And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us."
Lk 17:21" Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."
Jn 13:14 "If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet."
3º God promisse to us:
Lk 16:10 "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much."
Jh 3:34 "For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him."
Jn 10:28 "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
Jn 18:37 "Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice."
4º God knows everything:
Lk 16:15 "And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God."
Lk 21:19 "In your patience possess ye your souls."
Jn 3:21 "But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."
Jn 3:30 "He must increase, but I must decrease."
Jn 4:23 "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him."
These principles make us move towards a focus, but you have to know that each guide is JESUS. We speak of God, not by fear, not only by talking, or by custom, but bc we have it stuck in our hearts. Paul once said:
Acts 5:29 "Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men."
Acts 4:29 " And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word."
To help us, God has given us brothers to cheer us up and give us strength, and together form the body of Christ. When people live together, some differences may arise, but we should know how to handle them. The most important fact is that IT CAN'T SURPASS THE GOAL OF ALL THIS, worship God and speak about His word.
But to get this, we must be pure and upright heart before the Lord, so only God can judge what you do if He receives or not.
Rm 2:1 "Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things."
Rm 7:6 "But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter."
Your steps and actions are guided solely by the Holy Spirit, or at least should be. Just do it and who will give you rewards will be God Himself. We also have humility to recognize that someticmes we make mistakes and it's our nature. For this, we reconcile with God and then with our brothers, so that the objective will not be losed.
This don't works when we don't do somethings:
1 Cor 3:18 "Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise."
1 Cor 4:10 "We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised."
1 Cor 5:6 "Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?"
1 Cor 5:11"But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."
1 Cor 6:7 "The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already."
1 Cor 8:9 "But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumblingblock to them that are weak."
1 Cor 9:17 "For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me."
1 Cor 10:12 " Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall."
1 Cor 10:24 "Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth"
1 Cor 10:29 " Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?"
1 Cor 12:14 "For the body is not one member, but many."
1 Cor 12:22 "Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:"
1 Cor 12:26 "Whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it."
2 Cor 11:5 and 7 "For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles." "Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?"
